After visiting Port-au-Prince following the earthquake that occurred January 12, 2010 we were strongly affected by the powerlessness so many had over their situation. We saw that immediate aid was needed and the general population was not getting it.  On that first trip to Haiti we realized that a little to us could mean as much as life or death to those struggling after the disaster.  We jumped in feet first and said it starts here, we can help these people.
